note taking is very encouraged during an encounter for multiple reasons. Such scenarios to taking note taking can be when numbers are mention, DOB, SSN, phone # or addresses. these are very important to write so no number is missed. Also, if you hear a new term that you dont know it can be useful to write it and go back to it later. The backward method works great as well, acronyms, bullet points or anything that helps you relay the full message is always encouraged.
